Lancaster University invites you to the performance ‘I Exist Only as a Reflection’ and accompanying workshops, which are part of this year’s Hear Me Roar feminist festival.
The performance will take place on the 2nd of May at the Nuffield Theatre and consists of a stage monologue portraying parallels in the works of Elfriede Jelinek and Ingeborg Bachmann.
To explore the topic of women’s voices further, join us for a translation workshop and a dramaturgy workshop. You don’t need to be a German speaker to come to the translation workshop!
We are looking forward to welcoming the following participants in our workshops: Maxi Blaha and Simon Raab (performers); Verena Humer (dramaturg; video link); Liz Duggan (Lancaster Arts); Penny Black (translator and President of the Dramaturgs’ Network) and Jozefina Komporaly (member of the Institute of Translation and Interpretation and the Society of Authors).
